I really wish I could enjoy the Trails in the Sky games. I tried so many times to get into it, but after 10 hours of "not caring" about any Character or even parts of the world I´m giving up. That makes me sad.
Most of the games on this list were added to stuff im going to try to get. Ive already played most of the final fantasies and I love the final fantasy series so I've been searching for more games like them. Thank you 🙂

Probably left out FFXIII because it’s a trend to hate it, even though it’s a really good FF. most people don’t know why they hate it. They just hopped on the bandwagon
I disagree with the final fantasy xiii snub. I think it is a much better game than ff8 for example. The music and the art style was great. I liked the combat system as well. A bit easy at first but in later battles you had to fly through options just trying to keep up. As for the best ff, that is easy FFVI.

You have a very broad aproach to what is considered a JRPG.
Valkyria Chronicles? The Yakuza games? Really?
There should be things like Kamidori Alchemy Master, Persona 4 or Atelier Ryza on a list like that. No self-hating weeb would choose half the stuff on your list.
Also, Dragon Quest 11 is like baby's first jrpg and the Dialogues in the Disgaea games after the first half of the thirst one are just the worst. Sardines here… dood there…, boring characters and story lines that lead nowhere every single time… learn to write characters and an interesting story guys… Yeah, I know, no one plays these games for the story.
Octopath Traveler is great though.

Id also mention .Hack Last Recode which is a remaster of a ps2 series put up on steam and ps4. I played all 7 as a kid although Last recode is a remaster of the last 3 games and a new 4th volume in that series. Very great games.
I love Grandia it's my childhood and only one other jrpg tops this one for me😁

So many dislike, such a shame because it's a very fair and well done video.
Unfortunately, anime fans are so stupid and opinionated that many will dislike an opinion simply for being different than theirs.

My personal favourite jrpg is Eternal Sonata, beautiful graphics, a very original story, excellent music, with abit of an history lesson to boot, great combat system where depending if you are in light or shadow, your attacks will vary, a really good cast of characters, it's an awesome game.

This is what inspired to make an RPG game of my own! But sadly, it still hasn't reached 10 reviews on Steam. 🙁
